Patel’s Got Game

Foundation’s Anna Patel directed and edited a series of web docs to support the launch of Current TV’s 4TH AND FOREVER which premieres Thursday, May 26th at 9/8c.

The series follows the storied Long Beach Polytechnic High School football team as they tackle the 2010 season.  Poly has graduated more NFL players than any other high school in America.  We sat down with a few alumni to learn what makes this such a successful football program.  The first clip features Marcedes Lewis (Poly ’02) of the Jacksonville Jaguars and premiered on ESPN.com.

Higher and Higher

Anna Patel edited a few pieces for Nike in honor of Black History Month, featuring Kobe Bryant, and they were just released on Dime Magazine’s website.

Take a look!

The videos are part of a series called “Ever Higher”. The series features sports titans Julius Erving, Michael Jordan and a handful of sports and cultural influencers including Freddie Gibbs, and Mick Boogie. Anna did a great job on the cut and our own Jesse Willis assisted with graphics on this project.

Foundation Shoots and Scores!

We just worked on a piece in support of Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympics and it is being very well received!

bid

The video was written by creative directors Marcus Taylor and Matthew Taylor and directed by Foundation’s Phil Lee. Phil had the opportunity to direct NBA Chicago Bulls star Luol Deng (who will be playing for team UK at the 2012 Olympics) and Paralympian Basketball player Matt Scott!

Ben Chappell and Steven Piet shot it and the tracks were provided by Vince Lawrence of Slang Music Group. Cory Coken at ARU did the mix and Kelly Armstrong of Color Playground, color corrected the piece. Be sure to check it out right here or click on the picture above!!

Perfect Pitch!

The Chicago White Sox invited Nichyria to throw out the first pitch at Monday evening’s game against the Boston Red Sox!!!!

We are so proud to have been a part of Nichyria’s success and wish her all the best in her future, on and off the race track! Go GOTR!!

4’11 Versus 6’9

Senior Producer, Tracy Heropkie took a Foundation crew to L.A. recently to shoot a series of web content videos for Aetna Insurance’s 50th anniversary! Coincidentally, Magic Johnson turns 50 this year, so he appeared in the videos!! Phil Lee directed it and said it was a blast working with Magic! Tracy described the nearly 7 foot basketball legend as “super chill” but with a “definite presence”.

Everybody seemed to have a good time and the production went off without a hitch! Wanna see more photos? CLICK HERE!!!

Awwww…

So, remember this post?

Well, Kelly O’Brien, the executive director of Girls on the Run Chicago just sent me a very sweet email and I wanted to share it!

All together now…AWWWW! But seriously, we’re so proud of Nichyria and wish her the best! And if you haven’t voted yet….rock the vote! (Our girl is in the lead right now!!!)
