We would like to welcome two new members to both our Chicago and Los Angeles teams!
Meet Grant MacDowell and Max Gold!
Editor,Grant MacDowell, who worked most recently at Optimus, has joined the LA. staff. MacDowell accumulated a long-list of impressive work prior to his time at Optimus, including Ford spots with JWT Detroit, freelance graphic work for Janus and Hasbro, and a chapter with Brass Knuckles in Venice editing music videos for artists including Moby and No Doubt.
Max Gold joins our Chicago office from Draft FCB’s venerable in-house editorial department where his work for clients saw him editing spots for a host of notable directors including Iain Mackenzie, Tony Kaye, Sean Thonson, Fred Goss, as well as music video and Jack-Ass director, Whitey and 2010 DGA Director of the Year nominee Craig Gilespie. “Birthing Room,” a spot he edited for Qwest (directed by Gillespie) was shortlisted in the Cannes Lions competition.
We’re very excited to welcome these two new editors to our ever growing roster of talent!

Megan Guerrant has joined the Team at Foundation Content in Chicago as a producer, and we are thrilled to have her!
Prior to honing her skills in the technical world of color and finishing at Filmworkers, she spent six years at DraftFCB as a production business manager. The fact that she also has experience in the world of event production from a nearly four year position at event production company Williams/Gerard Productions is a bonus as Foundation continues to expand the scope of their creative business model into new and exciting arenas.
Joining Foundation also brings her back to the beginning of her career where she spent time working on independent films with Christopher Coppola and music videos at Black Dog Films/RSA. Guerrant says, ” I am excited about getting involved creatively in the projects I work on. There is a lot of opportunity at Foundation for me to explore my creative side as well as my strategic/business side.”
Foundation President, Samantha Hart says, “Our EP, Tracy Heropkie and I have known and admired Megan for quite some time. Now that our Los Angeles office has taken off, we found a need to have another producer on hand to cover the influx of work coming into Chicago for our graphics, color, smoke and finishing departments as well as editorial. It’s exciting to see our LA clients clamoring to get a color session with Tom Rovak or to work with our talented designers. Having run this company for the past six years, it is refreshing to see that work coming into this marketplace.”
Executive Producer, Tracy Heropkie adds, “With the recent addition of editor Christina Stumpf, we are looking to add one additional editor and then we think the Chicago office will be positioned right where we want it to be.”
Welcome to the team, Megan!

Though it’s been unusually cool in Chicago these days, our L.A. office has been heating up. Check out this latest project we worked on with the folks from High Wide and Handsome. Working with Production Company Chromatic Films and director James Tooley, we put together these spoof Weather forecast spots for “Rift”, a new video game by Trion. These are the web spots but they also finished for Broadcast and are airing on SyFy, FX, and G4!
Anna Patel edited all the spots while Jamin Clutcher handled the graphics. Color by Tom Rovak, audio mix by Ryan Pribyl, and produced by Stacy Paris; as always, a true team effort from our brilliant staff.
